The week that was…

It’s been hard to avoid salacious stories on the Slipper/Thomson sagas this week, but I’ve included a couple of the more thoughtful pieces. The one from Mark Latham on human frailty is a must read. Likewise Tony Wright’s reminiscences about the good ole days. Otherwise there are some great pieces on the budget, the future role of unions and Kelty’s speech at the ACTU Congress.

Lenore Taylor, George Mega and Andrew Probyn look more closely at the Opposition, former ALP apparatchik and Senator Stephen Loosely writes on the media storm that pollies now have to contend with, while John Warhust reminds us what the polls are really saying.
